WARRIOR Extras Needed for July 18th!!!

Lionsgate Studio is looking for people to be extras in the movie "Warrior".  We are filming a very big crowd scene on July 18. We are filling up the Petersen Events Center with MMA fight fans.  This could be one of the last chances you have to take part in the movie.  The pay is $100 for a 12/hour day.   For casting consideration, please send an e-mail with your name, phone number, age, height, weight, and a recent picture of yourself to warriorextras@gmail.com. Home & Garden Television’s (HGTV) BANG FOR YOUR BUCK is coming back for a second season and we’re looking for fun and enthusiastic homeowners in the greater Pittsburgh area RIGHT NOW!
 
Renovations must have taken place recently (no more than 3 years ago).
 
Each episode will tour three similar remodels at similar price points in the same city. We’ll bring in our design expert and real estate expert to determine how the renovation impacts each home’s value. We’ll also provide viewers with expert advice, answers on remodeling values, and inspiring ideas for design.

Casting for Pittsburgh Filmmakers Senior Thesis Film

Pittsburgh Filmmakers student Jess Weichler is looking for actors in their early 20's for her senior thesis. The characters Ethan, Tim and Mike will be needed for 2-3 shooting days while the rest of the cast is needed just for one day.  Shooting will take place on weekends during late July and early August.  Meals will be provided and actors will receive a DVD of the final product as compensation.

The movie follows Ethan, your stereotypical jock and womanizer who frequently bashes his best friend's gay roommate.  However after a night of partying he ends up hooking up with his best friend, Tim, and gets caught.

Jock who is a womanizer and homophobe who just happens to be secretly in love with his best friend, Tim.  Must have athletic build.

Jock who is generally a nice guy but sometimes comes off as an ass when he's feeding off of Ethan.   He's not homophobic but he will make fun of his gay roommate behind his back when Ethan is around.  Must have athletic build.

Tim's gay roommate who is quite often the target of Ethan's mean spirited jokes.  Mike doesn't stand up against Ethan because he knows it will just make it worse and in the end Ethan will get his.

The slut.  Jenny tries to get with Tim at a party but when she fails ends up hooking up with another guy instead.

Doesn't understand why Mike won't stand up for himself and sees it as weakness.

Sorority girl who Ethan had a one night stand with.  She confronts him and he blows her off.

Open Casting Call – Masters Student Final Film

Chatham University MFA student Ron Ross is holding an open casting call for his final video film. The planned half hour film is designed as a series pilot about an urban community struggling with the need to form a neighborhood watch, and will require a diverse cast.
 
Main Character:
Gordon O’Neill – a young public relations officer for the mayor’s office, assigned the task of guiding the formation of this new group. This central role appears in most scenes, which will require actor for 4-6 different shoots, so this role will receive a compensatory honorarium.
 
Other Main Characters (may require 2-3 shoot sessions):
Harry Joy – an older, robust man who teaches at the art school in the neighborhood.
Mona – an middle-aged woman with a caustic wit who runs the local coffee shop.
Nina – an older woman taxi driver with an edgy personality.
Jonathon Towne – an athletic, middle-aged pastor of the local church and community recreation center.
Bear – a carpenter/tradesman who lives and works in the neighborhood.
Cub – a young teenager torn between schooling and involvement with street toughs.
 
Minor Characters (should require 1or 2 shoot sessions):
Charlie Sax – a blind street musician.
George – Bear’s work partner.
Frank – the older church sexton.
Allen/Ellen – Owner of a fashion boutique.
Keith/Karen – Owner of an interior design shop.
Todd – a teenage street tough.
Ron Klair – a novelty shop owner.
 
All actors will be provided food while on set and will receive DVD copies of the final video. Principle shoots will be scheduled over the first three weeks of July, culminating with a large shoot at the Pittsburgh Pirates game on July 19th.
 
Casting auditions will be held July 1, 2, 3 at Chatham University. Interested actors/actresses should please send resume/headshots to neighborhoodwachfilm@gmail.com. Audition schedules and directions will be provided in follow-up contact. 



Music Video Casting

This is a music video that is being filmed more as a movie than a typical music video. Some dialogue and acting roles needed:
 
NEWS CAMERA MAN: a man to hold camera as a cameraman would LIVE on scene style. (Few lines)
 
SUPERINTENDENT: older male or female to play hotel owner. (No lines)
 
8-10yrs old Black male CHILD to play the leading actor as a young child in a flashback scene (no lines)
 
8-10 yrs old female white CHILD to play supporting actress as a young child in a flashback scene (no lines)
 
MOTHER: white woman to play mother of the female child (no lines)
 
We still are in need of Monitors for cameras onset.

This is a 0 budget film. All speaking roles will get contracted under a points system for any revenue collected from film.

Seeking Actors for Independent Local TV Show

Dream Catchers Films, Inc. is seeking actors for their upcoming project, The Fabulous Adventures of Mr. Buckethead. They are looking for actors who are 5'8” to 6'4” atheletic model build. Don't need to be overly muscular, but looking for someone who has experience in dance/fight choreography, martial arts, mime and possibly sign language. Someone who enjoys things that are retro can be a plus.  The actor has NO LINES. The ability to communicate through gesture and movement is very important.
 
Dream Catchers LLC is a film production company located in Pittsburgh, PA that has been in operation since 1981. 
 
The Fabulous Adventures of Mr. Buckethead is a broadly humorous TV series for kids based on the adventures of a live action super hero named Mr. Buckethead. 

Principal Filming for Mr. Buckethead would take place in Pittsburgh. This also includes the majority of the costume building, animation, miniature and model designing.  The pilot film will integrate 3 separate 30 minute episode. A 13-part television series will follow.

The Cinema and Digital Arts Program of Point Park University is creating the CINEMA ACTORS DATABASE.  This will be a catalog of actors and actresses who are interested in being cast in cinema student productions. The database will be accessible to the students of Point Park’s Cinema and Digital Arts Program.

 

This is an opportunity for actors and actresses to participate in productions by some of the most talented film students in the Pittsburgh area. 

 

Works by Point Park students have gone on to be exhibited at film festivals both nationally and internationally.
